Passenger Sues American Airlines for $15 million After Finding Lizard in Airline Meal
A woman found a lizard in an airline meal, and now she is suing American Airlines. Monserrate Luna of Puerto Rico said she “wanted to die” after she ate what she felt was a lizard as part of her in-flight chicken airline meal. That would be incredibly disgusting no doubt. However, is it worth a $15 million lawsuit? Only the courts will tell.
According to Luna, she was watching a movie on an American Airlines flight in 2003 headed from JFK to San Juan when she put the lizard into her mouth and began chewing. Soon she realized something was off, so she spit the meat that she couldn’t swallow into a napkin. Her five-year-old thought the meat was an animal.
